LIVE LIKE A LOCAL: AGAVE AZUL, MODERN MEX & CANTINA [BRANDING FEATURE]
I photographed the best margarita in town: “Handcrafted Margarita with Patron”. It comes in the most beautiful watercolor glass and is topped with three slices of freshly cut orange, grapefruit, and something else… lemon/lime, maybe? I can’t remember. I usually down that sucker before the guac hits the table.
This modern mexican restaurant is located near the North Topsail Beach access bridge, on the mainland side in Sneads Ferry. Agave Azul Modern Mex & Cantina… locally known as “Agave”.
I got REAL excited when Jorge asked me to photograph his to-go opportunities and to use my imagination on the vision. Reminder: during covid, you could order a margarita to-go (whaaaat? in NC? No wayyyy) and take it to the beach to enjoy.
Firstly, when you think of this restaurant, you think of COLOR. The interior is designed entirely with textiles ordered straight from Mexico. All the ceramic tile, the paintings on the wall, the outdoor swinging chairs…. original from Mexico. And just as much color goes into all their plated dishes. I wanted to show off the COLOR in their photoshoot, and remind you that this is a great opportunity to take plates to go to the beach with.
See it all below. Be careful, you might emerge from this photo gallery with sea salt in your hair.

AT THE RESTAURANT
Photographing inside a restaurant can be tricky occasionally, but if you need quality branding material, sometimes you have to think outside the big metal building. This was a fun one. And the food is top of my list near NTB!
